# How to Create A User | Government
### How to Create A US Military Government User
**CLICK** on the **USERS** tab found on the left side of the admin application and **CLICK** on the **ADD** to **STUDIO GROUP** button to bring up the **NEW ACCOUNT** modal.
Account Details
Next, **SELECT t**he users role. Each platform user will receive the standard permission by default. Make a role selection and click next.
User Role(s)
Next, **SELECT** which Government Agency this account is associated with.
Government Agency
Then, **ENTER** the details regarding the users government designation.
Designation Detail
Set the accounts temporary password within the summary view. After meeting the requirements **CLICK** create.

User handle should be unique and can only contain lower characters, numbers and dashes. It should not No contain empty spaces.

Summary
The newly user created is now visible on the active users tab.
### How to Create A US Civilian Government User
To create a US civilian government user, please follow the steps for creating a [US government military user](#how-to-create-a-us-military-government-user) but pick the 'civilian' option instead of military.
### How to Create A US Government Contractor User
