MOTAR SDK for Unity Prefabs

The MOTAR SDK for Unity provides various prefabs for developers to use and helps users connect the course modules to their Unity application.

DX Auth

• Allows users to login to their profile in their Unity application

• Required to download Sample that contains DXDeviceSyncAndAuthentication scene

• DXDeviceSyncAndAuthentication will automatically set itself in the "Scenes in Build" under build settings to Index 0

DX Avatar

• Allows users to use our pre-made Avatar and add Multiplayer to their Unity application

XR Realtime

• Prefab DXXR_Realtime

• Allows connection to our Dynepic Normal servers for Multiplayer

• Allows setting a custom prefab for a unique Avatar

XR Rig

• Prefab DXXR_Rig

• Our Standard XR Rig that controls movement and UI interactions

• Two costume teleport reticles are provided

  • TeleportReticle_1 is for teleportable areas

  • TeleportReticle_2 is for un-teleportable areas

  Script DXXRInteractableBlockedStatus can be used on gameObjects to cause the DXXR_Rigs teleportation ray to be Red

• The Script DXXRLocomotion can be used to enable and disabled avatar movement/teleportation

Spawn Point

• Prefab DXXR_SpawnPoint

• Allows users to spawn their DXXR_Rig into a specific location

  • Can have multiple spawn points where user will randomly spawn into one

  • Allows role based spawning based on course (Coming soon!)

Teleport Anchor

• Prefab DXXR_TeleportAnchor

• Allows users to place teleport locations that users can teleport to and be oriented correctly

XR Player

• Avatar displays users name & device on UI above their head

• Avatar's will fade out as they get too close to one another

• Avatar's face will be the users profile photo

• Avatar's hands will animate based on device input (Grip/Trigger/Trigger Touch/Thumbstick/Thumbstick touch)

  • Hands have some unique poses based on grabbing objects with specific tags

  • RoundGrabbable/LCylinderGrabbable/SCylinderGrabbable/WritingGrabbable

  • Tags will be automatically added to project when package is imported

  • Hands have a Wrist gameObject attached to them that will spawn any "Watch" prefab located in Resources named "DXXR_LefthandWatch" or "DXXR_RightHandWatch"

• Supports both Built-In and URP render pipelines

  • Toolbar button to convert from one to the other will be automatically added on package install

• Sample that contains MultiplayerTest

  • A fully put together example utilizing all the features for users to try
