About MOTAR Roles
Admins with account management permissions can approve and remove user account permissions.
Overview
MOTAR includes a permission-based identity management framework that is linked to data permissions and is enforced across the MOTAR services. Multiple levels of permissions exist under each role to ensure proper platform protection. Admins with account management permissions can approve and remove user account permissions.
Roles
Top-Level User Roles include:
The Org Admin manages each unit's functional organization in MOTAR, which includes membership, roles, details, and links to other units in the Chain of Command. (Government members only)
MOTAR Service: Communities
Military members with a MOTAR account can log in to Portal to discover, connect, launch Apps, train, and interact with platform content. The Portal is the central dashboard for the MOTAR platform. (Government members only)
MOTAR Service: Portal
Is a special type of Portal User who is an instructor that can create courses, add other instructors, add students, and add other course managers to the course. Course Manager can also view and edit courses and student training content. (Government members only)
MOTAR Service: Training
Is a special type of Portal User who can create courses, add students, and view student training content. (Government members only)
MOTAR Service: Training
Is a Portal User who is assigned to a class and can see the training content assigned to them. (Government members only)
MOTAR Service: Training
Is a User that can access Training for the purpose of class monitoring, observing students and their scores. They can preview courses and launch their Studio Organization applications. (Government or Non-Government members)
