How to Use State Manager
The MOTAR State Manager keeps track of what stage of Sandbox or Production an asset is in during the creation process.
State Manager Overview
All courses and listings will start in Sandbox status until requirements have been met allowing the user to promote the course or listing to Production status.

The charts below break down each state in the flow for asset creation and how the user can progress to the next state.
State Manager - Courses
Sandbox - Create Course
When a new course is created and has not been saved yet. If the user exits the course creation before moving past this state the course will not appear on the user's course list.
Sandbox - Incomplete Course
All required fields on the initial Create Course screen have been completed, and data has been saved, but not all the requirements have been met for the other tabs. The course will appear on the course list of the course creator.
Sandbox - Ready to Publish to Production
All required fields in all required tabs for a course have been completed. The course will appear on the course list of all add Sandbox students. The course is ready to be tested using Sandbox Impersonation or to be published to Production.
Production - Published
When a user has published a course by selecting the publish button and has completed the Permissions Wizard. The course will appear on the course list of all added Production students. The course is promoted to Production.
State Manager - Non-App Listings
Sandbox - Create Listing
When a new listing is created and has not been saved yet. If the user exits the listing creation before moving past this state the listing will not appear on the user's studio listings.
Sandbox - Incomplete Listing
All required fields on the Info tab have been entered, and data has been saved, but not all the required information in all required tabs has been entered. The listing will appear on the user's studio listing page.
Sandbox - Ready to Publish on MOTAR
All required fields in all required tabs have been completed and the listing has been saved. The listing is ready to be viewed on Hub, tested using a Sandbox Course, or to be published to Production.
Production - Published
When a user has promoted a listing by selecting the publish button and has chosen to either Keep Permissions or Set New Permissions. The listing is promoted to Production.
State Manager - App Listings
Sandbox - Create Listing
When a new app listing is created and has not been saved yet. If the user exits the app creation before moving past this state the app will not appear on the user's studio listings.
Sandbox - Local Test Only
All required fields on the Info tab have been entered, and data has been saved, but not all the required information in all required tabs has been entered. The app will appear on the user's studio listing page.
Sandbox - Testing on MOTAR Training
All required fields in all required tabs have been completed and the app listing has been saved. The app is now ready to submit for review.
Sandbox - Under Review for Production
After a user submits the app for review, the state manager updates to under review. The user will be unable to make any changes to the app during this time.
Sandbox - Ready to Publish to Production
All required fields in all tabs have been completed, the app has been approved, and the app has been saved. The app is ready to be viewed on Hub, tested using a Sandbox Course, or to be published to Production.
Production - Published
When a user has promoted an app by selecting the publish button and has chosen to either Keep Permissions or Set New Permissions. The app is promoted to Production.
Production - Listing Edits Under Review
When a user has a Production App and wishes to make changes to it, they must resubmit it for review. The previously approved version of the application is still available on Hub during this Production Review.
Status Notification
A blue status notification will display at the top of Non-App and App listings. It will include the current status of the listing with a more detailed explanation of the status. The user can either collapse the notification or dismiss it.
This Status Notification will not display if the listing is in Production|Published status.
The Status Notification will not be dismissible if an App listing is in the Sandbox|Under Review for Production status until the App is either approved or rejected by a MOTAR Admin.
